Enhancing Students’ Speaking Ability Using the Plan-Ahead Brainstorming Technique

This research aimed at finding out whether or not the use of Plan-ahead Brainstorming in helping second-year students SMAN 1 Bantaeng to enhance their speaking skill. The steps implementing consist (1) giving topic, (2) plan-ahead session, (3) brainstorming small group, (4) individual oral report. employed pre-experimental method. researcher used random sampling technique and selected sample was XI IPA1 with total 28 number students. instrument this test form test. data acquired were then analyzed through descriptive inferential statistics. result analysis showed that probability value (0.00) smaller than level significance (0.05). indicated implementation enhanced students` indicates alternative hypothesis (H1) accepted. contributed extensively theory about enhancing ability. is can influence fluency effectively. outcome useful learning English, especially speaking. student decrease skepticism stammer session prepare what they want utter. found for teachers order more effectively as long teacher specific time implement several time.
